Driving Directions
Regular shuttle buses operate between the airport and the city centre. A taxi from the airport to the hotel should cost approximately 120 ZAR. Buses serve the city, with smaller ones operating throughout the city centre and larger buses heading to the outer suburbs. Minibus taxis operating along fixed routes are plentiful and inexpensive, but can be crowded and unpredictable. Metered taxis are also available and must be booked via phone. Coach and train services, including luxury steam lines, run to Johannesburg, Cape Town and other major towns and cities. Rail tickets must be booked 24 hours in advance.
