Getting there.
Taxis to central Funchal cost approximately 30 EUR. The Aerobus runs to the city centre every 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 5 EUR. Local buses also operate between the airport and the city centre. Buses run from Funchal to Canico. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
The surrounding area is served by a good public bus network. A car is useful for travelling further afield.
Driving directions.
From the airport, follow the motorway to Funchal taking the exit to Canico de Baixo.
Continue down to the sea and follow signs for hotels.
