Located directly on the beach at beautiful Simpson Bay, the Royal Palm Beach Resort overlooks the crystalline splendor of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. Divided between the Netherlands and France, the island is the smallest territory in the world shared by two sovereign states. The resort is less than eight kilometers from both the Dutch and French capitals, Phillipsburg and Marigot respectively.

The resort features a fitness center and an outdoor pool with a swim-up bar and drink service. The water-sports center rents equipment and offers activities such as kayaking, parasailing, scuba diving, fishing and motor boating. The resort's retail arcade includes a beauty salon offering massages, a grocery store and an Internet center with several computers. The staff can assist with tour planning, dry cleaning, wedding, concierge and business services. The Cabana Beach Bar and Restaurant is a casual, open-air establishment serving specialties such as conch chowder, curried chicken, roast duck and grilled lobster.
