Take the A8 in the direction of Laghi - Sesto Calende
Then join the A26 towards Gravellona Toce.
Exit at Arona and follow the SS33, with the lake on the right, for about 18 kilometres to Stresa. Alternatively, exit the A26 at Carpugnino (no buses) and follow the narrow road for five kilometres to Stresa.
